Community work rooted in practical care.

Keenah-Kay Chekwas and The Community Initiative supports children, families, students, and communities through welfare outreach, healthcare awareness, education support, and volunteer-led public good programmes.

The work brings people, practical resources, and trusted partners together. Programmes have included health checks and awareness, educational materials, food and clothing support, mentoring, and direct community outreach.

Community health outreach including free breast, cervical, and prostate screening awareness, alongside blood pressure and sugar checks where available.

School supplies, uniforms, writing materials, educational sponsorship, mentoring, talks, and encouragement for children and young people.

Food, clothing, practical support, community visits, and individualised care for families and people facing hardship.
